Way 1: Fibonacci Retracements

Draw it on a locked box

1. Open a chart of your market. Set the chart to the box’s period (for a monthly box, a Month series) and note last month’s high and low.
2. On the chart toolbar, open Drawing Tools (the pencil) and choose Fibonacci Retracements.
3. Click on the high, then on the low.

Enter the ladder’s values

4. Double-click the drawing to open its properties.
5. Under Anchors (Start and End), type the box’s exact high and low as the two prices.
6. Find Price levels and open its editor. Look at the default values: if they read like 23.6 and 61.8, use the Percent column from Start here; if they read like 0.236, use the Ratio column. Remove the defaults and add the ladder’s levels: Beginner 0, 10, 50, 90, 100; Advanced adds 110, 150, 200, -10, -50, -100 (in percent).
7. Turn on Extend lines right so the ladder runs across the chart.
8. If the 100 line sits on the low, swap the two anchor prices.
